Kurt F. Stone is a man who wears many hats: writer, professor, lecturer, historian, medical ethicist, ordained rabbi and occasional actor.  A true “Hollywood brat,” Kurt was born and raised both in and around the film industry.  He is the son of actor/dance/singer Alice K. Stone and Henry E. Stone, known variously as “the grey fox” and “stockbroker to the stars.”

A graduate of the University of California (where he had a triple major in American history, philosophy and political science), the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Hebrew Union College, holds a B.A., M.A.H.L. and D.D.  An adjunct professor at both Florida Atlantic and Florida International Universities for nearly two decades, Kurt has taught courses in history, international relations, literature, biography and – his true love – cinema.

A longtime medical ethicist – 18 years with the Cleveland Clinic and the past 4 with Schulman Associates I.R.B. – Kurt is part of the team overseeing more than 100 research protocols in the federal government’s “Cancer Moon Shot 2020” project.

For nearly 50 years Kurt has been a political writer and strategist on both the national and state level.  His is the author of two seminal works on the United States Congress, and has published more than 600 political essays through his personal blog, “The K.F. Stone Weekly,” and “The Daily Kos.”

As an actor, he has performed his one-man show, “An Evening with Sholem Aleichem” more than 400 times on three continents.

Kurt is married to Anna Zamosc-Stone, an instructor at Broward College.  Together they have 3 children, 4 grandchildren a dog and a cat.
